AI architect to the financial world.

KJ Capital is founded and led by Kasim Javed — a UK-based AI architect combining a decade of commercial experience inside the financial sector with deep, hands-on fluency in modern AI engineering. The team financial firms would hire in-house if they could.

Kasim Javed is a UK-based AI architect and the founder of KJ Capital. Over the past decade he has worked across the financial sector — from retail brokerages and prop-trading firms to wealth managers, hedge funds, IFAs, credit brokers and fintech operators — advising on growth, digital infrastructure and, most recently, applied AI.

He sits at the intersection of two rare skill sets. On one side, a commercial operator's understanding of how financial firms actually make money — client acquisition economics, dealing-desk P&L, retention curves, IB and affiliate structures, regulatory drag, middle-office cost, the difference between a brokerage that survives on FTD volume and one that compounds LTV. On the other, a builder's fluency with modern AI: LLM orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic reasoning, evaluation harnesses, and compliance-safe deployment inside regulated tenancies.

That combination is rare — and it is exactly what most financial firms are missing right now. Generic AI vendors don't understand finance. Traditional consultancies don't ship code. Boutique dev shops don't understand regulation. In-house AI teams are 18 months away from being staffed — and the market won't wait.

Kasim founded KJ Capital because he kept seeing the same pattern inside financial firms: leadership knows AI is about to reshape the industry, but they don't know what to build first, what's safe under their regulator, or who to trust to ship it. They don't need another PowerPoint on "AI strategy." They need a team that can walk in, name the three highest-leverage AI systems for their book, and have the first one running in production inside a quarter.

That is exactly what KJ Capital does. Kasim works directly with founders, COOs and CTOs of financial firms who want AI systems designed for their specific P&L — not off-the-shelf copilots, not generic RAG chatbots, not vendor lock-in. Bespoke, production-grade AI, architected around their stack, their regulator and their client book.

He writes and speaks on AI in financial services — from what brokerages should build first, to how regulated firms should think about model governance, to what the AI operating system of a 2027 financial firm actually looks like.

Point of view

How we think about AI in finance.

01

Why generic AI vendors fail inside regulated financial firms

OpenAI wrappers, off-the-shelf copilots and horizontal SaaS all break on the same three walls: compliance controls, private data residency, and the specific economics of how financial firms actually make money. We start from those constraints — not around them.

02

The three AI systems every financial firm will run by 2027

An onboarding and KYC agent. A client-facing intelligence layer that knows every position, mandate and interaction. A middle-office automation stack that collapses regulatory reporting and reconciliation. Firms without these will lose margin to firms that have them.

03

Build vs buy vs bespoke — the AI decision most COOs get wrong

Buying generic AI SaaS turns your competitive edge into a commodity. Building in-house takes 18 months you don't have. Bespoke, embedded AI systems — architected by people who understand both finance and modern AI — is the only path that compounds into a moat.

What we don't do

As much clarity in what we refuse as in what we build.

×No black-box models you can't audit under an FCA / MiFID review.
×No sending your client, book or trade data outside your tenancy.
×No off-the-shelf copilots dressed up as bespoke systems.
×No vendor lock-in — you own the code, the models, the weights, the pipelines.
×No PowerPoint-only engagements. We ship production code.
